Tattoo Aftercare
Things to avoid - No direct sun light or sun beds for 8 weeks, No sauna or steam rooms, No swimming or submerging the tattoo until it is fully healed. No itching, picking or scratching the tattoo.
1. Wash hands well. Remove dressing either after 2-3hrs for cling film or after 24-36hr if a breathable layer has been used. Your artist will have told you which was applied.
2. Clean the tattoo with a basic soap and warm water (eg Dove, Imperial Leather) Be sure to wash off any remaining blood or crust. The tattoo should feel smooth.
3. Apply a thin layer of moisturising cream (eg. Tattoo goo, Bepanthon or Coco Butter) and rub into the tattoo until nothing but a shine remains.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3, 3/4 times a day until the tattoo is healed. Usually this take from 5 days to two weeks depending on your aftercare routine, type of work and your general state of health.

Piercing Aftercare.
- Do not twist or play with jewellery. (May cause irritation)
- No unnecessary touching, only clean hands when cleaning. (Unclean hands lead to infections)
- Avoid any pressure on the piercing. (No sleeping on piercing, careful of tight clothing & headphones etc.)
- No submerging in any bodies of water, whilst healing. (No swimming, bath, hot tubs or sea). Showering is fine as it runs off the body. (careful to wash away all shampoo/body wash off piercing site)
- Do NOT use Tea Tree oil, TCP, Dettol, Surgical Spirits or Salvon etc for cleaning. (Can irritate, dry or burn area) Saline only.
- No creams or make-up on/near piercing, gently clean if you do.
- Careful drying, washing & brushing your face, body & hair; so not to knock the pierced area.
Cleaning Procedure
Product - Saline Solution 0.9%
- Wash hands before touching area.
- Spray or apply saline solution using earbud to both sides of the pierced area, do so 2-3 times daily.
- Make sure to clean away any debris & dry the area completely.
- Crust will form throughout healing make sure to gently remove it whilst cleaning (after shower helps). Leaving it can cause irritation.
